My Work
Building the AI Nerve Center at Rogers
- Architected the company's first centralized Feature Store and pioneered its MLOps methodologies, creating a robust, scalable foundation for AI development.
- Engineered automated monitoring frameworks using Databricks and Azure DevOps to keep our AI models sharp, detecting data and model drift before it became a problem.
- Led a team of four to build a language topic modeling pipeline that saved the company $150k annually and cut down 9 hours of manual work every single week.
- Identified customer churn with 92% accuracy by leveraging over 200 features, translating complex data into clear, actionable strategies for stakeholders.
Sharing Knowledge & Inspiring the Next Wave of Data Scientists
- Mentored and empowered 70+ aspiring data scientists across North America, teaching everything from Classical Machine Learning and SQL to advanced Deep Learning.
- Delivered over 200 lectures with a consistent student rating of 4.8/5.0, bringing real-world industry experience into the classroom at institutions like BrainStation, MIT, and UT Austin.
- Selected as a distinguished panelist to share my journey and guide the next generation on how to forge a successful career in data science.
- For me, this was more than a job—it was a chance to give back and ensure the knowledge I've gained makes a real impact on others.
From Hackathons to Home Security: My Passion Projects
- Developed a dynamic pricing app for fresh produce, which was shortlisted at the University of Toronto's 'Hatchery' hackathon and featured a CNN optimized by 96% for real-time deployment on Heroku.
- Authored a comprehensive guide on the time series forecasting lifecycle, using Weights & Biases for experimentation, GitHub Actions for CI/CD, and AWS Step Functions for orchestration.
- Independently launched breakthruconsulting.ca, building the entire website from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Built a custom home security system on a Raspberry Pi 4, powered by my own ML image recognition models, to avoid paying a $50 monthly subscription to a conglomerate.
About Me
I've always believed the best way to complain is to build a solution. My first real project? I got kicked out of a lecture because my phone rang. Instead of just remembering to silence it, I built an Android app that automatically did it for me whenever I walked into that classroom. That's me in a nutshell: I'm not just an engineer; I'm a builder, a hacker, and above all, someone who gets things done.
My resume can give you the highlight reel of my corporate wins, and that's great. But it won't tell you about the time I saw an avocado being sold for five bucks and thought, 'That's absurd.' So, I built a web app that uses image processing to tell you exactly how fresh that avocado is and what it should cost. This is how I see the world—as a series of interesting problems waiting for a clever line of code.
This curiosity hasn't slowed down. Lately, I've been channeling it into building web extensions to fine-tune my music experience and even creating my own agents for a smarter home security system. This site isn't just a list of accomplishments; it's a window into how I think and a showcase of the projects I build simply because I can't help myself. Welcome.
